ERIE, Pa. -- An Erie man awaiting trial in connection with a July shooting was arrested for throwing a gun out of his car window during a traffic stop Monday morning.
Rakeem Jones, 23, was arraigned Monday morning by Judge Dominick DiPaolo on charges of person not to possess a fireman, carrying a firearm without a license and tampering with evidence.
He was pulled over by police shortly after 2:30 a.m. in the 200 block of East 29th Street.
Jones is currently awaiting trail for his involvement in a July shooting on East 26th Street.
He was free on bail but DiPaolo placed him in the Erie County Prison on $100,000 bond.
