Erie woman says neighbor's dog killed her dog

ERIE, Pa. -- One family is mourning the loss of their pet after a neighbor’s dog allegedly killed their dog.

Police responded to the 1700 block of East 27th Street for reports of a dog mauling Wednesday afternoon.

Haneen Ismael said she was at work when she received a call from her father around 2 p.m. that her pomeranian was dead.

Ismael said her dog, named “Milo,” ran across the street to a neighbor’s yard where there was a pit bull.

Neighbors said the pit bull bit the pomeranian by the neck.

The alleged owners of the pit bull, which neighbors believed was still in their custody, declined to comment for this article.
