Erie's beer history on display at downtown brewpub

ERIE, Pa. -- Erie history is on display at the Brewerie at Union.

Thanks to Erie beer collector Ray Barber and Brewerie owner Chris Sirianni, a large collection of Koehler memorabilia is on display at the downtown brewery.

Besides the many bottles and cans, a 1,500-pound sandstone "sign" that was taken from the building is there along with the cornerstone of the old building.

“When you find what you've been looking for is one thing, it's when you find something you've never seen before you didn't know it was out there, it's like a lost treasure,” said Barber, who has been collection Koehler items for the past 25 years.

The display is permanent and is there for all to see when they eat or drink at the Brewerie.
