Fire breaks out on porch of Erie home

No injuries reported in incident

ERIE, Pa. - Erie fire fighters converge on a house fire late Wednesday.

The call came in around 11p.m. for flames and smoke outside a home in the 400 block of Myrtle Street.

Crews were met with heavy smoke in the area when they arrived. According to Deputy Chief Mike Fahey, the fire was found on the exterior of the porch, climbing up to the second floor.

The fire was contained to the outside of the house.

No injuries are reported, and there's no word on a cause yet.
