Former President Judge Jess Jiuliante dies

ERIE, Pa. -- Former Erie County President Judge Jess Jiuliante died Thursday morning, according to family members. He was 91.

Jiuliante was appointed to the bench in November 1981 and became president judge in 1989.

Jiuliante passed away at Westlake Wood Assisted Living, according to his son.

After retiring from the Erie County Bench in 1995, he served the Commonwealth Court as a senior judge.
