ERIE, Pa. - The record breaking snowfall, and nearly single digit temperatures, didn't stop one group from having some chilly fun.
A group of nearly 40 people gathered at the parking lot of Sara's early Monday morning.
They were all ready to hit Presque Isle - all 13 miles of it.
The "Frigid Frolic" started when Eric Webber thought it'd be a great way to kick off a new year. Dedicated riders and skiers have come out every January first, regardless of the weather conditions.
Participants were asked to bring something warm, (coat, scarf, gloves, or a blanket) to be donated to the Emmaus Soup Kitchen and the Upper Room.
