Funeral arrangements set for fallen Erie firefighter

ERIE, Pa. -- Funeral arrangements for a fallen Erie firefighter have been announced.

Steve McKenrick, 44, died last week from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash in Florida. That crash also claimed the life of his mother and injured his sister.

The department will pick up McKenrick's body Tuesday evening at the Pittsburgh International Airport and return around 7:30 p.m.
       
That procession will come up I-79 to West 26th Street then east to Greengarden Boulevard and south to Brugger Funeral Home where they will be met by an honor guard.

Calling hours are Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Bayfront Convention Center.

The funeral is scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Jude the Apostle Church. Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
