Garmon acquitted of most serious charges

Jury returns split verdict in shooting case

Erie, PA - An Erie man on trial for a 2016 shooting incident is acquitted of the most serious charges. 

52 year old Greg Garmon had been on trial for the shooting that injured Antoine Riley last August near West 18th and Cascade Streets. 
 
After about two hours and fifteen minutes of deliberations, the jury found Garmon not guilty of attempted homicide and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
 
Garmon was found guilty of four lesser charges including terroristic threats and reckless endangerment.
 
He'll be sentenced in Erie County court July 21st.
