Gaudenzia receives $2.5 million grant

A local drug and alcohol treatment house is celebrating their one-year anniversary with a large grant from the federal government.  Gaudenzia House of Healing works with women and their children facing addiction issues.

The facility has been so successful; it has won a grant that will provide $2.5 million over the next five years, and that means even more services for the people here who need it.

Ann Ludwig of Gaudenzia House of Healing tells us, "Not only can we expect good inpatient care for drug and alcohol with mental health; they can also expect that we'll be able to expand services in the county, so we'll also be able to include families more significantly that we've been able to in the past."

Gaudenzia House of Healing is one of only 18 programs in the nation to be awarded this grant money.
