GE looks to cut transportation division/light bulb business

General Electric is taking drastic measures to cut costs and reshape the company for the future.  The business is slashing its stock dividends and selling parts of its business.

GE is reportedly cutting its dividends in half, now at 12 cents per share.  This is the company's second dividend cut since the Great Depression.  The company also says it's looking to shed more than $20 billion in assets, including the Transportation Division, this according to CNN.

Reports show the light bulb business is also on the chopping block.
