German-based grocery store to move in to West Erie Plaza

Progress is moving slowly but surely for grocery store plans in the West Erie Plaza as Millcreek Township approves German-based grocery store, Lidl.

The international chain will demolish the old Value City Furniture location to build a new store.  Lidl is working to develop contracts with US-based distribution centers.  The township says no permits have been approved yet, and nothing is planned for this coming construction season.

Tonight, the Millcreek supervisors will sign off on a plan to allow the business to relocate a pipe underneath the property.
