Governor Tom Wolf holds a roundtable discussion at a one-of-a-kind transitional housing facility on Erie's east side.
Fred Williams, Co-Founder of Climate Changers, led the governor on a tour of his facility. Climate Changers offers a total change program providing temporary housing and classes for those re-entering the community from prison or rehab to learn how to fix credit, obtain a GED, and more.
Williams says, "this is not like any other halfway house you have seen where people just sleep. This is also a drug and alcohol treatment facility, mental health facility... you can train for your GED, you can get vocational training and educational training".
Climate Changers in the 300 block of East 11th Street, was made possible with a $210,000 grant from the Neighborhood Assistance Program administered by the State Department of Community and Economic Development.
