HARRISBURG, Pa. -- January in Erie means a lot of snow, but in Harrisburg, January means a whole lot of butter.
Each year the annual Pennsylvania Farm Show kicks off with the signature 1,000 pound butter sculpture.
This year's theme is environmental stewardship and it highlights the changes farmers have made to address issues like erosion, crop management and storm water runoff.
Sculptors Jim Wictor and Marie Pelton started work on the piece in mid-December.
The farm show, which features 6,000 animals and 10,000 exhibits, starts Saturday and runs through Jan. 13.
