It looks like Erie County may soon have a buyer for at least part of the former Pleasant Ridge East property.
County Director of Administration Gary Lee tol council members late Thursday afternoon that the H.A.N.D.S. organization has offered to buy a portion of the former county nursing home facility.
H.A.N.D.S. have offered $300,000 dollars for the former Pleasant Ridge building, parking lot and some adjacent land.
The Edmund L. Thomas Detention Center building would remain county property.
H.A.N.D.S. plans to use the building for senior housing.
A majority of council will have to approve the deal.
