Erie residents turn out in full force to support the fight against opioid addiction.
Community members came together at Basement Transmissions for Humanity Against Heroin Part II. The event featured bands, speakers and vendors to raise money to help with treatment and prevention programs.
The organizer of the event, Vanessa Seppi, says she puts on the event to show people the cause and effect of deadly drugs. "I had family that had issues with drugs. I lost a friend last year to heroin so I started it just for that."
The goal for the next event in May will be $5,000 to benefit Erie City Mission's Grace House for Women.
