Police: 'Treacherous' road conditions cause of fatal Harborcreek crash

ERIE, Pa. -- Pennsylvania State Police said "treacherous" road conditions, with large amounts of ice patches, led to a fatal accident in Harborcreek  Township Sunday morning.

Police said a vehicle operated by Luke Still, 19, of North East, was traveling on Buffalo Road at a high rate of speed around 8 a.m.

Police said Still lost control of his vehicle which then slid directly into the path of a car operated by 58-year-old Paul Witosky near the intersection of Davison Road.

Still was pronounced dead at the scene by the Erie County Coroner.

Witosky was transported to Saint Vincent Hospital for treatment. His condition was unknown.
