Jocelyn's Holiday Meals at First Church of the Covenant

An Erie woman who, just a few years ago, was in need of holiday support is now giving back to the community in a big way.

Jocelyn Morris owns 'Jocelyn's Holiday Meals' and is putting together more than 60 meals for people in need this holiday season.  The meals are being put together in the kitchen at the First Church of the Covenant on West 7th Street.  The meals will be distributed to the disabled, low-income, and elderly and to families that just don't have enough food.

Morris says helping the less fortunate is something she's familiar with.  "...A couple of years ago Erie helped me with food. I needed some and asked the food bank... and people just dropped off food and I want to do the same for people. Kind of paying it back. Yes, definitely."

Nearly 500 cookies will be baked and handed out with the holiday meals.  If you would like to learn more about Jocelyn's mission, check out her Facebook page.
