Last Central Tech Class graduation

Students get their diplomas and say goodbye to Central Tech high school

More seniors walk the stage for their graduation.  It's the last time students will be able to say they graduated from Central Tech before it becomes Erie High School.

The commencement ceremony was held at the Bayfront Convention Center with more than 170 seniors, the last before the Erie School District merges three high schools.

Central Tech seniors still had a week of classes remaining before the May 26th fire.  Student, Lida Mitchell tells us, "We didn't get to say goodbye to each other, hug each other. We didn't get to say goodbye to the younger classes we had friends in. None of it."

At least, at graduation, the Class of 2017 had a chance to say goodbye to each other.  Abigail Cochran, student, says, "It's sad that it's the last Central Tech Falcons [class], but it's nothing we can do about it. I'm glad to be here with everyone--that we're all graduating together."
