At the LECOM Health Challenge Tournament Ceremony, the Web.com Tour honored two WWII Veterans and recognized a local business.
The two Veterans manned the 18th green flagstick during the final round. The traditional flag replaced by an American flag to represent those who serve(d) in the military. Tournament officials also presented the family of the late Tony Costanzo, who took part last year at the age of 96. Costanzo passed away just three weeks ago. Costanzo's son, Joe, was there to represent him: "It breaks my heart that he's not here with me to share, but to me, my dad was a true hero. He did a lot for his country and he loved his country. For me, it's everything. My dad was my hero."
Also, Jim Pullan Junior, owner of Jamestown Mattress, was named the 2017 recipient of the Web.com Small Business of the Tournament Award in Clymer, NY.
The award recognizes local businesses that are deeply ingrained within their community and the tournament. "It's great to be recognized as the small business of the tournament. Being local and servicing this area, it's a great privilege and as a family we're honored," said Pullan.
