LECOM's MASH a smash!

LECOM's MASH program preps h.s. kids for medical careers

The school year may be over but the education is continuing this week for High School students thinking about careers in health care.  Some of those students were at LECOM today for the Mobile Application for Science and Health, or "MASH" program.

The students visited a number of labs and got hands-on experience on what it takes to be a health care professional.  The hope is to get the students excited about a possible career in medicine.  Heather Jones, of LECOM, says, "we have a really high need in our society to have health care professionals so i think they'll be exposed younger.   They're going to see what the career is like then as they make their college decisions".

The program is open to students going into their Junior and Senior years.
