Pennsylvania State Police say that serving a search warrant on a man for DNA evidence on stolen guns has led to a confession of Operating a Meth Lab and Possessing Stolen Weapons.

It happened on Carpenter Road in Guys Mills when Police arrived, the man, who was in the back yard, attempted to flee and after getting caught, confessed to officers about the methamphetamine operation and guns.

Police have identified him as 41 year old Charles Butter.

They say they recovered an AK-47 assault rifle, a semi-automatic machine gun, two pistols and three other rifles.  All had their numbers rubbed off.  The case will be tried in Federal Court.
