Local native designs tribute graphic for NASCAR

Local native, Shawn Magee, designs a special tribute for those lost in the Las Vegas massacre.  The tribute will be in the form of a graphic placed on the bed of a truck in a NASCAR race this evening.

Magee, Owner and Developer of SMD Graphic Design, was born in Oil City and raised in Cochranton, PA.  He was a resident of Cochranton until he graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2002.  After a few years, he settled down in North Canton, PA and in 2008, he created his business and eventually began collaborating with NASCAR's advertising teams.  He says he will now be the primary sponsor for the race at Texas Motor Speedway tonight.

He tells us, "we've designed a large tribute graphic that will be placed on the bed of the #44 truck driven by Ted Minor in the JAG Metals 350 at Texas Motor Speedway".  That graphic will include the 58 names and ages of those killed in the Vegas massacre.

The race will begin tonight at seven.  For more information on the race or about Shawn's designs, please click here.
