Man charged in bank robbery waives hearing

William O'Brien, 39, waives charges of robbery and terroristic threats in his preliminary hearing Thursday morning.

Charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property were dropped.

Erie police accuse O'Brien of entering Erie Bank on Feb. 6 with a toy gun and demanded money.

Police said O'Brien ran from the bank and was quickly arrested at East 11th andState streets.

O'Brien remains in prison.
