Man sentenced on robbery charges

Hezekiah Tatum will do 2-4.5 years in prison

An Erie man was sentenced on robbery charges this morning.

Hezekiah Tatum will spend 2 - 4.5 years in prison for robbing a 50 year old victim at gunpoint.  The robbery happened near East 9th and Ash streets in December of 2016.  The victim told police he was walking home when he was approached by two juveniles. He says they pulled out a gun and robbed him.

The suspects fled on foot and were picked up by police on west 7th street a short time later.

Tatum's sentencing was delivered by Judge William Cunningham this morning.  No one was injured, but Judge Cunningham said that did not make the offense any less serious.
