The Department of Environmental Protection is taking the owners of a mattress warehouse to court.
The warehouse has caught on fire twice, most recently in June of this year, containing dozens of old mattresses. The DEP gave the owner 60 days to clean up the property in the 1300 block of West 20th Street; the owners did not comply.
A 'Petition to Enforce' hearing has been set for August 7th in Erie County Court.
Fire investigators say the fire was considered suspicious. The cause is still under investigation.
