Medical marijuana facility approved in Jefferson County

Pennsylvania is open for business for growing marijuana.  The Department of Health approved the first fully operational medical marijuana growing facility today, located in Jefferson County.

The facility has a fully integrated seed-to-sale tracking system and will now be able to begin accepting seeds and clones to grow medical marijuana.  The State Department of Health says in the coming weeks, 11 other facilities should be ready to grow and process medical marijuana.  

Governor Wolf saying every day the state hears from patients who are desperately waiting for medical marijuana to help alleviate their symptoms from their serious medical conditions.
