Mercyhurst students sign beam to be placed in new residence hall

Current students at Mercyhurst University will forever be a part of the school's latest addition.  A steel beam to be placed in the new Ryan Hall now under construction on campus was presented at the school's annual luncheon.

College constituents were among the first to sign, quickly followed by a massive line of eager students, excited to be a part of the school's future.  Mercyhurst President of Student Government, Jonah Jackson, tells us, "we are all a part of history now and I am pretty sure we all feel as if we are investing in our future by signing that beam in some fashion.  We can come back 20 years from now and say, 'hey, we were part of that process' and something to look back on".

The steel beam will ultimately be encased in the $25 million suite-style residence hall, expected to be complete for the 2018-2019 school year.
