42-year-old Montrice Bolden is sentenced to 7-18 months for resisting arrest and drug charges. Bolden found not guilty by a jury in August for assaulting Erie Police Officers and trying to disarm one of them. The jury did find Bolden guilty of misdemeanor charges.
The incident caught on surveillance video behind TJ's tavern in June of last year. The judge gave Bolden credit for serving more than a year behind bars, making him eligible for parole.
This incident sparked a federal investigation into the Erie Police Department. No charges were filed against the officers.
