Manhood is often synonymous with terms like strong, tough and brave, but what about spiritual?
Coordinators at the 22/32 Men's Conference say faith is a key component in being a better man.
"It's based on Luke 22/32. It says 'I have prayed for you Peter that your faith may not fail, and when you return you'll strengthen your brothers,'" said Father Larry Richards, event coordinator.
Father Richards said being the best man you can be is all about brotherhood.
Speakers included a Vietnam veteran who spent more than five years in a prisoner of war camp. He says that's where he found God.
"You know is was vicious, horrible torture and I learned to forgive those people and the only way I could learn that is to understand that they were children of God," said Capt. Guy Gruters, Locked Up With God Author.
More than 710 people came to the Warner Theater for the conference.
This was the fourth annual 22/32 Men's Conference in Erie.
