PI 365 - Sci-Fi Trivia Night hits TREC

Staff members at Presque Isle State Park work around the clock to find events that will bring people to the park year 'round.  This December, they are looking to host an event that's "out of this world"!  Scott Bremner has that in this week's PI 365.

Staffers at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center are planning to use the space to host something from outer space.  A sci-fi and fantasy trivia night December 5th where teams will be grilled on everything from the name of the ship in Aliens to the director of Blade Runner.

Anne Desarro, Representative of Presque Isle State Park, tells us, "Those are the kinds of questions that will challenge you. We do have prizes and food and beverages for everybody to have a great night.  All proceeds support the big green screen."  A big, green screen that should draw a lot of off-season interest from the regular daily movies to Christmas showings to other special events, all designed to keep the TREC and the park in use throughout the year.

Desarro says, "check out biggreenscreen.com for registration and everything that's going on, including signing up for the Trivia Event.  Come out and join us for a good time."

The Sci-Fi and Fantasy Trivia Night is Tuesday, December 5th at 7pm at TREC.  Teams of four will compete; cost is $10 per player plus $6 for pizza and soft drinks.  For more information and to register, go to biggreenscreen.com
