Police officer charged with causing fatal crash to enter plea

She's expected to plead guilty to two charges

August 1, 2017 - Erie police officer Cheryl Frey is set to appear in an Erie County courtroom today.

She's expected to plead guilty to two charges, homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence and the highest rate DUI charge.

Pennsylvania State Police say Frey crossed the center line and hit 57-year-old Wade Schulze's car on Old Route 99, south of McKean in February.

Frey is scheduled to appear in Judge Daniel Brabender's courtroom at 9:30 this morning.
