ERIE, Pa. -- Testing on lollipops that sent a girl to the hospital last week and were believed to be drug-laced has come back inconclusive.
Erie Police Chief Don Dacus said the testing did not show any signs of a controlled substance after a teenage girl overdosed on the lollipops. Police said the girl received the lollipops from another teenager last Wednesday.
Dacus said it is unclear whether the candy caused the girl to overdose. No other lollipops or overdoses were reported to police after the initial batch was confiscated.
According to police, the lollipops in question were bright green, unlabeled and wrapped in clear plastic.
