Roadside worker killed after being struck by car

WARREN, Pa. -- State police in Warren confirmed that a roadside worker was killed after being struck by a vehicle Sunday in Warren County.

Michael Robertson, 46, was struck by a car while working to replace a utility pole on the side of Kinzua Road around noon. Robertson was flown to UPMC Hamot where he later died from his injuries.

The driver of the car was identified as 78-year-old Eugene Schwanke. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
