The SafeNet backyard transforms into an elegant garden party for the evening.
SafeNet is a local oragnization that helps men, woman and children who are victims of domestic violence.
The backyard is normally a space for kids to play in a safe environment. However.... tonight adults dressed up and filled the yard for a gala to raise money for those kids.
"We have no designated funds for the kids and we see more than 400 children every year so that's what we're about tonight. Raising money for the children," says CEO Linda King.
SafeNet is hoping to raise upwards of $40,000. That money will pay for staff, activities and material for the kids who utilize SafeNet's services.
