A man wanted in connection with a shooting that injured two people on Erie's lower-west side is arrested in Ohio. 27-year-old Lawrence Johnson picked up by the US Marshals Service in Lakewood, Ohio today.
A surveillance photo. was released by Erie Police last week. Police say Johnson shot two men outside of the Ultra View Lounge on West 4th and Plum streets on October 28th. Johnson is awaiting extradition, facing charges including two counts of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and carrying a firearm without a license.
The victims are still in UPMC Hamot in stable condition. EPD Chief Don Dacus tells us, "we don't believe anyone else is connected to the case. He was found in possession of a firearm so we will be going there to retrieve the firearm as well and it is consistent with the firearm used that night as well".
Dacus says they are reviewing all incidences at the bar, starting the process to ultimately shut it down.
