Shriners patients get a special visit from Santa today broadcasting from the North Pole through a digital video display at the medical center.
Patients are chatting with the star of the season in real time. Organizers say many Shriners patients aren't able to take a trip to see Santa, so this way, they get to experience the magic of Christmas without the hassle.
Greg Hall, Business Development Director, says, "We open it to all our patients and through the magic of Santa he knows all sorts of great stuff about them, their favorite games, their favorite activities, and interacts directly with the patients."
This virtual Santa checks in with children in several different Shrine locations.
