Solar Eclipse Glasses

If you don't already have eclipse glasses, the chances of finding them in the Erie area are slim to none.  Several retailers in Erie including Target, Walmart, and Lowes are sold out.  

Many people purchased the glasses on Amazon, but the company recently notified some buyers they couldn't vouch for the safety of the glasses.  

To prepare for Monday's solar eclipse, the Planetarium Director at Penn State, Jim Gavio, has an easy way to watch.  "You can take a couple sheets of paper, poke a hole in one clear all the way through then focus through the hole and you will see a picture of the eclipsed sun on that piece of paper there."
