Music filled the air today at Mercyhurst Prep. 22 students from 8 to 18 years old performed in the Summer Performing Arts Workshop, or, SPAW.
The students attend the workshop for two weeks, working on singing, dancing and acting, all the elements of the performing arts. This is a time where all the students can work together. Mike Miele, Music Teacher, says, " one of the great things about SPAW and performing arts in general, so often students when together from different schools, they are in a competition situation, so here's a chance for the students to collaborate together".
Today's program took place in the new auditorium, complete with new seating, air conditioning and LED lights.
