Suspect Taken Into Custody After Standoff With Police

Sunday September 10, 2017 - Erie Police made quick work of apprehending a suspect this morning who was reportedly hiding in a closet.

At about 10:45 am Sunday Erie Police spotted a man wanted on a warrant for intimidation of a witness and terroristic threats.

20-year-old Johnathan Jordan was seen running into a house in the 400 block of East 11th Street.

The home reportedly belonged to his mother.

Jordan refused to come out when officers called for additional help.

Police surrounded the house and after presenting a warrant for Jordan's arrest he was found hiding in an upstairs closet, according to police.

He is now in the Erie County Prison on $25,000 bond.
