Erie Police are searching for a man wanted for attempted murder after gun fire breaks out on Erie's west side.
Shuntrell Jones, 22, is wanted for attempted murder and endangering other people, including a four month old, because of other occupants in the car that was hit by gun shots.
Police say an argument turned violent between a woman and her ex boyfriend in the 700 block of West 3rd Street Tuesday afternoon.
The call came in around 2:30 p.m. for shots fired, and a short time later a car was located across town with four bullet holes.
Around the same time, an 18-year-old woman showed up at UPMC Hamot with a gun shot wound to the leg.
Chief Don Dacus says, "Our investigators interviewed her at Hamot, and they were able to develop other information that lead to a suspect in this case. They were able to develop a lineup, show the victim the photo lineup, and she was able to successfully pick out the shooter in this case, which was Shuntrell Jones. "
There is a warrant out for Jones arrest.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 870-1120.
