Taisha Santiago arraigned today

Santiago was arraigned on homicide and conspiracy to commit robbery charges

Erie Police Chief Don Dacus says 26 year old Taisha Santiago, of Erie, turned herself in to police today.  She was arraigned on homicide and conspiracy to commit robbery charges in the case of 28 year old David Tate Junior.

Tate was shot and killed last month in the 1300 block of East 20th Street.  Two others, Jalen Reynolds, of Detroit, and Lashonta Dade, of Erie, are also charged with murder in this case.

Investigators are saying Tate's death is a suspected robbery turned deadly.  Chief Dacus tells us a search warrant was executed of the home Tate was at, and one to two pounds of marijuana was recovered.  However, Tate's family is saying Tate did not use drugs.

A family friend says they just want to know the truth.  Bishop Dwane Brock, a Tate family friend, told us, "We wanted the public to know we have, of course, the Mother and the Father; that Dave was a good young man, not perfect by any means but a good young man [who] had great potential and now his life has ended."

Dacus says this is the final arrest in this case.
