An Erie teenager says, 'no thanks' to moving his case to juvenile court. Jaquel Tirado was 17 when he allegedly murdered 26 year old Steven Bishop in the 500 block of East 21st Street last August.
Police say a witness, surveillance video and gun residue found on Tirado's clothing is what ultimately led to the charges. A status conference was scheduled for today and could have decided if the case would be heard in the more lenient juvenile system, but Tirado told the judge he didn't want Juvenile Court, so now jury selection is set for July 31st.
