Three roofs in Erie collapse, all before 10:30 this morning

The heavy snow is causing problems in some Erie neighborhoods.  The weight of ice and snow on the roof of the home in the video causing the back porch to collapse.  

The collapse happened around 10:30 this morning at the 800 block of Delaware Avenue.  Firefighters say no one was home at the time of the incident.  Lieutenant Andrew Stinely telling us a collapsed roof can be a major safety hazard.  "We go in, access the situation and see what resources we need to follow up; if we have to call in a search and rescue team or a collapsed building team." 

Firefighters secured the situation within a few minutes after arriving on scene.  At only 10:30 in the morning, this collapse is already the third of the day in Erie.
