The snow squalls and blowing winds. made for slick roadways and poor visibility at times today.
All of that causing a back-up in traffic along Interstate 90. This was the scene earlier this afternoon along interstate 90 when traffic was brought to a stand-still. Severe conditions and a jack-knifed tractor trailer had traffic bottled-up between the route 4-30 and route 5-31 exits around one o' clock this afternoon.
According to State Police, traffic was not re-routed off the interstate but both east-bound and west-bound lanes were down to single lanes in the area.
PENNDOT reports that all lanes have since been reopened.
