Two East Erie County brothers are in jail tonight after one of them allegedly struck a state trooper and the other allegedly hindered the arrest.
It all started in the 4800 block of East Lake Road. Troopers were there to arrest 29-year-old Jonathan Abbey on a previous warrant. When they arrived, police say Abbey's brother, 30-year-old Michael Abbey lied that his brother wasn't there. When he was discovered, a fight broke out.
The troopers say Jonathan Abbey tried to choke one of the officers. Jonathan faces charges including aggravated assault and resisting arrest. Michael faces charges of hindering apprehension.
