Two suspects in custody after Thursday's stabbing

Erie Police have two people in custody after a man is choked and stabbed.  34-year-old Syreeta Allen and 28-year-old James Tate are facing assault charges.

Police were called to the 500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue just before 3pm Thursday.  The victim is described as a 56-year-old man.  According to police, he was involved in an altercation with another man a couple of days ago.  While the victim was painting a friend's house, Tate returned with Allen and began choking the victim while Allen tried to stab him.
