Velocity Net sets closing date for downtown building

ERIE, Pa. -- A closing date is set after Velocity Network secured a state loan to build its headquarters downtown.

Velocity Net will move its headquarters into the currently vacant Rothrock Building, 121 W. 10th St., after the state voted to grant the business a $2.25 million loan.

CEO Joel Dueterman said the state loan, in addition to a $2 million loan from the city and county, helped them to set a closing date of Feb. 13.

Construction on the Rothrock Building is expected to begin in May.
