Veterans boarded a bus headed for Washington, DC on Friday. Last night, the vet’s and their families returned home after seeing historical national landmarks.
For many veterans who share common experiences, it was helpful to, again, share a journey. Eric Hawes, Veteran, tells us, “They treated us like royalty. I was happy the entire time."
Veteran and President of Warriors to Washington, Joe Pfadt, enjoyed the camaraderie, “All of us share in a common experience, and getting together and being able to reflect on that and talk with one another was really great."
Organizers of the trip said it is important to give this opportunity to those who enlist and risk everything for freedom.
