Woman hits hydrant and street sign... and keeps going

Erie Water Works was called after a fire hydrant was hit in a car crash this afternoon.  A woman was driving south on French Street when she hit a fire hydrant, then a street sign.

The street sign was launched quite a distance, but the hydrant was dragged under the woman's SUV across three lanes, where the SUV ran into a fence on the other side of the street.

A car on the other side of the fence was minorly damaged.  It is unclear at this time what caused the accident.

The woman was not injured.
