Detroit Man Charged with Drug Possession

Now Christopher Lanier, 23, of Detroit, is facing charges including possession with intent to deliver along with possession of drug paraphernalia.
January 31, 2014 - Erie Police seize a massive amount of drugs from an east Erie home.

The seizure lands a Detroit man behind bars.

More than $80,000 worth of drugs came from inside a home at 342 East 3rd Street.

Now Christopher Lanier, 23, of Detroit, is facing charges including possession with intent to deliver along with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police seized drugs ranging from cocaine, heroin, molly, ecstasy and marijuana.

The seizure comes from just a month long investigation.

They say the drugs were coming to Erie from Detroit.

The largest quantity of the drugs was the heroin.

They recovered about six ounces of heroin, with estimates of one ounce selling for $10,000 street value.

Chief Randy Bowers says this is a significant bust, crediting law enforcement officials for the bust.
